Hello! This website is designed to be a comprehensive database of everything pertaining to Beyblade X, the most recent line of Takara Tomy's hit hobby/toy franchise, Beyblade.
Having existed for 25 years, the franchise has grown into a widely known game played by children and adults alike.
In recent years especially, a large surge in popularity has led to a great interest in competitive Beyblade, with various communities around the world hosting events featuring hundreds of participants at a time.
However, despite the high playerbase, there currently exists no centralized place where Beyblade players can go to see information about the various facets of the current line of products.
Competitive Beyblade players currently rely on methods such as social media pages, Discord servers, or word of mouth to share information about the game.
My intent when developing this website is to fulfill the desire of competitive Beyblade players to have a central source of information for the products.
With this website, anyone can obtain information about the current line of Beyblade products in just a few clicks.
For the sake of simplicity within the time constraints of this project, this website will only include information of a select number of releases, specifically 1 year's worth of products from 2023 to 2024.
This website is split into various sections related to different aspects of the line, such as the Beyblades, the individual parts which make up said Beyblades, and the products they are available from.
Each of these sections consists of a visual list that you may browse through to find the specific page you are looking for.
The products page specifically includes the ability to filter the list with various options.
As my senior project, my aim is that the design and functions of this website can adequately convey to you the various concepts I have learned and practiced over the course of obtaining my degree.
Concepts include HTML, CSS, various features implemented with Javascript, as well as accessibility options, such as support for screen readers and dark mode toggle.
